The gardens at Hodnet Hall are both a dream and an inspiration, and visitors who aren’t fanatical gardeners linger long in the grounds mesmerised by the magical woodland setting. Ponds and streams, water-falls, intimate flowery enclosures and long tapestry-like borders abuzz with the sound of happy bees working a patchwork of colourful flowers. There has been careful planting to give enjoyment to gardeners and plantsmen for all seasons. These beautiful landscaped gardens certainly deserve their renown for being amongst the best in the country.
Disabled visitors are very welcome – approximately 60 percent of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs but please note the paths are mainly grass or gravel and therefore more accessible in dry conditions.
Dogs are welcome - on leads.Hodnet Hall Gardens are open to Groups by appointment and will be open to the public on Special Days in 2008 between March and September. See our 'Open Days' for more details for 2008.
